Tinky: Time for a story!

Pinky: Yes, if I ask you what the word Father means do you know children… (wait for response)

Tinky: Pinky, Pinky it’s your daddy.

Pinky: Yes children it’s your daddy. Father is the name we call our daddy’s

Tinky: (proud) D a d d y is my Father.

Pinky: Children is God your Father? (wait for response)
You can’t just say yes. You have to receive Jesus as the Lord of your life, then you can call God- Father or Dad.

Tinky: I remember when this class did Jesus who we learnt that God so loved us He sent His son to save us.

Pinky: Yes, J C if we are His Children we can call Him Father and do you know what? Fathers love their children and look after them.

Tinky: Yes children I love to sit on my Dads lap and he tells me stories and puts me to bed.

Pinky: So what does Father mean children? …
Someone that looks after you. He loves and cares for you.
Okay! That’s all for this week.

God loves you. Both puppets say Good bye…

CHAPTER TWO

FATHER GOD CARES FOR AND LOVES US

Tinky: Good Morning everyone! Now where is Pinky? Scratching in the book cupboard I guess, lets call him children. Pinky, Pinky.

Pinky: (out of breath) Good Morning sorry I am late. It’s so nice to be here again. How is everybody? … (If no response – no ones here).

Tinky: Oh – come on Pinky we are here (laugh)

Pinky: Have I got a story for you today!

Tinky: Tell us – tell us.

Pinky: When we have a Mommy and a Daddy and children what do we call it?

Tinky: That’s a hard one. Lots of people. Children help me…

Pinky: We call it a family.

Tinky: Oh I have got a family. Some families only have Mommy’s and the children, some families have Daddy’s with children.

Pinky: Yes families are different but God is still the same Father to ALL.

Tinky: Yes! When we are small we call Him Father and when we are old and tall we still call Him Father.

Pinky: Yes it does not matter how old we are He remains our Father and we remain His children.

Tinky: Kids I remember reading about it in a book. It said um…
God has no grand children.

Pinky: Yes Tinky we are His children and He loves and He will always protect us and look after us. That’s all for today see you next week.

Tinky: Have a nice day. Bye

Pinky: God loves you!

CHAPTER THREE

GOD’S LOVE

Pinky and Tinky together: hello, hello

Tinky: (STARTS BY SINGING) Jesus loves is so wide I can’t get under it. Jesus love is so high you can’t get over it. Pinky will you tell us some more.

Pinky: Kids how do you spell Father. (Wait for response) F-A-T-H-E-R. Can you change the spelling? Wait…

Tinky: (make funny pronunciations)…arther… no Pinky you certainly can’t.

Pinky: God’s love for us never changes, it can’t grow bigger or smaller.

Tinky: Fatter or thinner.

Pinky: The Bible teaches us that He is the same yesterday; He will still be the same today and tomorrow. He is unchangeable.

Tinky: Yes it is a p-r-o-m-i-s-e.

Pinky: Yes Tinky Jeremiah 31:3 says: “I have loved you with an everlasting love.

Tinky:  Yes, forever and forever and ever.

Pinky: It means always. When you’re cross or sad, happy or glad.

Tinky: Love means to be kind to one another and helping each other.

Pinky: Yes and talking nicely to one another and just being happy.
Tinky: So happy your heart just sings. That’s all for this week.
Bye- bye.

Pinky: God loves you. Bye – bye.

CHAPTER FOUR

THE FATHER KNEW US BEFORE WE WERE BORN

Pinky: (Name a few kids names) Hello John …

Tinky: And (name) is here and (name)
[kids love attention]

Pinky: Kids how do we know that our daddy loves us? (Wait for response)

Tinky: He tells us.

Pinky: That’s right Tinky Kids! God tells us He loves us. The Bible is just full of His love for us.

Tinky: Will you read us one Pinky?

Pinky: Yes, I will read Psalm 139:13. “You created every part of me, you put me together in my mother’s womb.” Good news Bible. God says “That He knew us before we were born, and that He made us.” That’s so exciting children. Children do you remember that song, Jesus loves the little children, let’s sing it.

Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world, red, brown, yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the children of the world.

Tinky: That was so nice, I feel so good.

Pinky: Well that’s all for today, see you next week. Bye – Bye. God loves you.

CHAPTER FIVE

PRAY TO THE FATHER

Pinky: Good morning children…
Oh ! Where is Tinky today, let us call him…  Tinky, Tinky where are you?

Tinky: Hello, Hello everybody here I am.

Pinky: I couldn’t wait to get started today Tinky.

Tinky: Oh! It sounds as if you are excited about something Pinky.

Pinky: Yes! I am Tinky. I have been learning more about prayer and I want to tell you about it.

Tinky: Um Prayer – Well then tell us.

Pinky: When we pray we don’t need fancy words or to be shy, because we are talking to our Heavenly Father.

Tinky: Yes it must come from your heart. Hey! Pinky

Pinky: Yes! You are right I want to read Matthew 6:9-13 to you all. Let me just find it.
9  "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.10  Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.11  Give us this day our daily bread.12  And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.13  And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Tinky: That was lovely thank you Pinky. Both puppets greet

Pinky: God Loves you.

CHAPTER SIX

SPEND TIME WITH GOD

Tinky AND PinkyADDY GREET TOGETHER.

Tinky: What are we going to talk about today Pinky?

Pinky: Today in our Father series, I want to tell you about spending time to get to know God.

Tinky: Yes! That’s right if we don’t go and visit by our friends we won’t get to know them.

Pinky: Children how will we get to know God? ….

Tinky: By visiting Him!

Pinky: How will we do that Tinky?

Tinky: um…um I don't know

Pinky: By reading the Bible and then taking time to pray to Him, because prayer is like talking to our Heavenly Father and reading the Bible we can get to know Him better.

Tinky: So the Bible tells us who God is!?

Pinky: That’s right and it shows us how our heavenly Father wants us to live.

Tinky: I’m going to spend some time talking to my heavenly Father in prayer and read my Bible, kids see you next week. Bye

Pinky: Children when spending time with God don’t forget to say Thank You, for all your blessings. God loves you. Bye.

CHAPTER SEVEN

PRAY IN JESUS NAME

Pinky HELLO, hello Tinky (just behind him)

Pinky: Children last week we said that prayer is talking to God and reading is spending time with God.

Tinky: I tried it this week and found it was fun.

Pinky: Did you know that you can pray to the Father in Jesus name children?

Tinky: Yes Pinky the authority is in Jesus, because He died for us.
Can I read today please, please? Pinky nods, (Tinky) its in John 16:23-24 “When that day comes, you will not ask me for anything. I am telling you the truth, the Father will give you whatever you ask him for in my name. 24. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name, ask and you will receive, so that your happiness may be complete.” GNB

Pinky: Thank you J C, when we believe in Jesus we can ask Him anything and use His name, because we have His authority.

Tinky: So when we pray to our Father we can ask for something in prayer and end with “in Jesus name” Lets say a pray please.
Pinky.

Pinky: Heavenly Father, we want to get to know you. We love you and thank you for your Son Jesus. Thank you Jesus that we are  your ambassadors in Jesus name, Amen.

Both puppets greet…

Pinky – GOD LOVES YOU!

CHAPTER EIGHT

HOLY SPIRIT

Tinky: Hello everybody! Pinky is still reading I think we must call him to get a move on. 1 2 3 Pinky, Pinky.

Pinky: Hello children, sorry I am late I just forgot to watch the time. I was just reading about Jesus giving us the Holy Spirit.

Tinky: The Holy Spirit.

Pinky: Yes, when Adam and Eve sinned God made a plan to send Jesus to the earth and die on the cross for our sins.

Tinky: Yes, I heard about that, nailing all our sins on the cross. Because Jesus died for us.

Pinky: Yes, by Jesus blood we are forgiven and free. When Jesus rose and went to heaven, He sent us the Holy Spirit.

Tinky: So that we won’t be alone, hey Pinky?

Pinky: Yes, the Holy Spirit lives in our hearts. He is also called the comforter and His job is to help us understand the Bible. So if you don’t understand something you can ask Him to explain it.

Tinky: Now we have just learnt about the Trinity children. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They were all in heaven in the beginning of time.

Pinky: The Father sent Jesus to save us and took our sins upon Him, and He left us the Holy Spirit on earth with us today.

Tinky: The Holy Spirit teaches us how to hear God’s voice.

Pinky: Well children we hope you have enjoyed today. See you next week. Bye – Bye.

Tinky: Bye – Bye. Have a nice day.

Pinky: God loves you.

CHAPTER NINE

SUMMARY

Pinky AND Tinky ENTERING TOGETHER.
HELLO EVERYBODY.

Pinky: I Love Father God with all my heart and I love you all too.

Tinky: We love you to Pinky… Are you going to read for us?

Pinky: That’s a good idea. It is found in Luke 10:27 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind and love your neighbour as you love yourself.” (Good News Bible)

Tinky: Children let us see if you remember what we have done so far. I remember that God loved us so much, that He sent us His Son Jesus and that God loved us before we were born.

Pinky: The Father protects us and that we are never alone anymore because we have the Holy Spirit.

Tinky: We have the name of Jesus and the authority to use it.

Pinky: God, Yes we belong to the family of God.

Tinky: Brothers and sisters in Christ.

Pinky: Father God’s love is unchanging and unconditional, that means that He always loves us.

Tinky: We can pray to our Father.

Pinky: We can spend time in prayer and read the Bible and that prayer is talking to God and reading the Bible is spending time to get to know God and hear His voice.
Tinky: I enjoyed this series on learning about our Father very much as I feel as if I have learnt to get to know Him better. I can even call Him my Daddy. I especially like to read the Bible and to hear it says that God loves me.

Pinky: Yes it is nice to know Father God loves us just as we are. All you need to do is to receive Jesus into your heart today.
(altar call) Have you given your heart to Jesus yet, can you call God your Father? Well children our series on the Father is finished we have enjoyed being with you every week.

BOTH PUPPETS GREET WITH A FUSS.

Pinky, REMEMBER GOD LOVES YOU.

Use this opportunity to lead the children to the Lord or if they did it to stay behind. Explain to them what they have done.

A follow up is always good to see what they understood.
